Capshot AI does not require account creation, and we do not collect your name, email address, or other registration information to use the App. We do, however, collect the following categories of information as part of the App's core functionality and through third-party services integrated into the App.
When you use Capshot AI to generate a caption, the photo or image you select is sent to Replicate (a third-party AI hosting platform), which runs an OpenAI GPT (nano) model to analyze the image and generate a caption suggestion. The result is then returned to the App and displayed to you.
We do not store copies of your photos on our own servers. Replicate and OpenAI may temporarily process the image as part of generating a response, according to their own data handling and retention practices.
Capshot AI displays advertisements through Google AdMob. To serve ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK automatically collects certain information, which may include:

Capshot AI does not use a dedicated crash-reporting or analytics SDK. However, the Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) SDK automatically collects certain diagnostic and device information as part of its normal operation, including device identifiers, general diagnostic information related to ad serving and app stability, and basic usage signals tied to ad display.
This data is collected by Google as part of the AdMob SDK described in Section 1.2, and is not shared with any additional third party beyond Google for this purpose.

Photos submitted for caption generation are not retained on our servers after the caption is generated and returned to you. Any temporary processing by the third-party AI provider is governed by that provider's own retention practices.
Advertising and diagnostic data collected via third-party SDKs (such as AdMob) is retained according to those providers' own retention policies. Since Capshot AI does not require an account, there is no persistent user profile tied to your identity that we retain.

We rely on industry-standard practices, including encrypted (TLS/HTTPS) data transmission, when sending data to our AI caption provider and through the AdMob SDK.
